White Tiger Kenpo Karate is a martial arts school located in North Logan, Utah. Founded by Lynn Myers, our school teaches American Kenpo Karate, a martial art focusing on self-defense, blended with Chung Do Kwan Tae Kwon Do and a sparring-centric martial art called Chiryoku Rikiji. We offer a full schedule of self defense, karate, and martial arts classes to children and adults of all ages and are committed to providing Cache Valley with safe, effective, and fun martial arts and self-defense training.
American Kenpo is a self-defense and martial arts system developed by Senior Grandmaster Ed Parker in the early 1960s. It is a martial art with Chinese and Japanese roots that came to the United States through immigrants to Hawaii that has been modernized for current-day self-defense. At White Tiger Kenpo Karate, our instructors hold black belts in several forms of American Kenpo. For more information on the history of Kenpo and our lineage in the art, click here.
Tae Kwon Do is a Korean martial art with Japanese and Okinawan origins that places heavy focus on forms, striking and kicking, and sparring. Master Lynn Myers, the founder of White Tiger Kenpo Karate, has over 40 years of experience in Chung Do Kwan-style Tae Kwon Do and blends the curriculum with American Kenpo.
Chiryoku is a form of karate developed here in Northern Utah that emphasizes sparring and tournament fighting. Master Myers and other instructors at White Tiger combine the principles of American Kenpo with the direct sparring approach of Chiryoku to create well-rounded students able to compete in intensive sparring in a safe and effective environment.
